A little backstory on this week’s column. . .

I get so frustrated with the undeserved bad reputation the Puritans have in today’s culture. Of course I’m most frustrated by the bad reputation they have even in Christian circles! They were flawed sinners like anyone else. But they gave our country and our culture and their Christian progeny a powerful legacy.

As we approach Thanksgiving, I wanted to take a shot at setting the record straight.
