It truly is ridiculous to worry about being &quot;too thin&quot; in our obese world.

I am the author or three books, most recently &quot;The Cardio-Free Diet&quot; and have been in this industry for almost 21 years.

I write for various publications, including &quot;O&quot; The Oprah Magazine and find our obesity epidemic to be overwhelming. It&#039;s frustrating because the number of overweight and obese Americans keeps going up. You practically can&#039;t turn a book or article in because the number jumps by the time it&#039;s published.

I am a HUGE believer in counting calories, and urge you to do so in all my books. I love one bit of research from the American Dietetic Association that says, &quot;Every time you see a book or magazine article that says you DON&#039;T have to count calories - RUN!&quot;

I also believe that traditional cardiovascular exercise is a complete waste of time. It just doesn&#039;t work and if it did, we wouldn&#039;t have the weight issues that we do.

That is why the title of my book is &quot;The Cardio-Free Diet.&quot; I feel that interval strength training is the ONLY style of exercise to perform to lose weight, change your body&#039;s composition and slow the aging process.
