I am!
What’s worse is that today, it seems so many parents do the work FOR their kids. When I sold girl scout cookies in junior high, my parents had nothing to do with it. My dad never took my cookie forms to work. I sold the cookies, I kept track of the money, and when the (typically) over one hundred boxes arrived to be distributed, I did it all myself.
It’s way different now, as this Wall Street Journal article by Meghan Gurdon tells us. Don’t we parents know it. (An experience with my youngest is mentioned in Meghan’s piece.)
Enjoy.
And thanks for stopping by.

Regarding your personal experience with your then-6-year-old: Did you write a column about that, and where can I find it? Thanks.
