Hi friends – I hope you listen to “It Takes a Parent” today at noon central time, AM1160/WYLL radio, Chicago, or www.wyll.com. I’ll be talking to Michael Josephson, head of the Josephson Institute for Ethics in Los Angeles, California. Among many other projects, the institute tracks teenagers and their ethics (or lack thereof) through blind surveys, and issues regular public reports every two years. It’s most recent report was, again, shocking. The vast majority of teens admit to cheating on tests in high school, and more than half of the boys says one has to lie and cheat to get ahead in life.
The reports seem to get increasingly ominous. We’ll talk about what is going on!
You’ll especially want to listen today if you are in the Chiacago area. I’m giving away tickets to the Adler Planetarium – a family five-pack/VIP set! – to see the Adler and it’s wonderful “Star of Wonder” sky show. That’s a $100 dollar value, so listen to win.
(You can catch the show later here, or on nationalreview.com)
Thanks for stopping by!
Betsy

Having just listen to your radio show on ethics and young people, I thought I’d respond to your request for people interested in the Adler Planetarium tickets. I’d like to take my single-mom friedns Tracy and her two boys to see this event. I enjoyed your program; I myself have a son who teaches high school and runs into this problem with cheating all the time.
