Hi friends – last week my kids and I took a road trip from Chicago to Virginia (I think I set a land/speed record for one mom and four kids in a minivan but that’s another story.) We had a great time. For one thing, I love staying in hotels, which we did to break up the drive, with my kids. I’m not sure why, except that I think it has something to do with our mess being someone else’s and breakfast being provided.
Anyway, we saw great friends and had a terrific time. And at one dear friend’s home in Virginia, I came across George Washington’s “Rules of Civility and Decent Behavior in Company and Conversation.” This is a real gem, and if you haven’t seen it before, you should get it for your kids from Amazon.
