My name is Ian Markey and I am running for the US Senate here in PA for the 2010 election. I just got my papers from the FEC this past week and I am setting up my campaign.

I seen you on Hannity tonight, and I am writing you because I need to get my campaign out to America and my fellow pennsylvanians. Specter has got to go, and Pat Toomey just represents more of the same.

I am an average American citizen who lost a business due to the failing economy. Lawyers and Big Business have had the run of the Country thus far. It’s time for new blood in D.C. and the people are ready for someone like me. Hannity seems to have no problem ignoring my campaign along with everyone else at Fox News, I thought maybe you could help me with that.

I support the fair tax, term limits, tort reform, all the things that won’t get done if career politicians remain in power.

Hannity shouldn’t lower his standards to those of Olberman….give Bob Bechtal credit, it was three against 1. Granted, Obama made nice with a few unsavory dictators but what has giving them the “cold shoulder” accomplished?
This all may have been “for show” it’s politics.

Obama is in a tough position. We should pray for all of our leaders in this country no matter your political bent. Opinions are great but let’s dis the hate.

Look, the man has lied so much to the American people – one lie being he followed that man’s preaching then when under fire for the Rev. teachings, instead of being a man he tried to distance himself from him. Look at it this way; I attend my church because I believe its teachings and agree with and the preaching of my pastor’s. If I didn’t I wouldn’t attend that church. If someone challenged me for something my church teaches, I would defend it to my death, I would never toss my pastors under the bus for political gain…

I understand your point Jeni. I am not a democrat, neither did I vote for Obama. But after a critical look at what people from my side of the political divide do I am absolutely amazed how much we seek to distort facts to discredit an innocent person. I have sought for reasons why I should not support this man, but found them all to be petty. You attend your church and believe in what is taught there. But do you agree with everything that comes from the pulpit? Of course not. I also would have done what Obama did, because all the dust raised wasn’t necessary in the face of the challenges the nation faces. Is the the only church where God is and the truth is taught? No! So moving to another church does not reduce my Christian commitment and make me a coward.

Actually – and this isn’t meant to be argumentative, it’s just the truth – I do agree with everything my church teaches. I’m Lutheran and have studied and read Martin Luther’s sermon’s, the 95 thesis – you name it, so I honestly, truly do believe and follow everything my church teaches. Most people do and the “O” was a member of a church that preached and encouraged hatred for this great country of ours. I cannot give anyone like that a break. And I would never sell my soul or stab another human being in the back for political gain. I guess we just differ in our morals and values in those respects.

And this yucking it up with Hugo Chavez issue that was mentioned on Hannity’s show (getting back on topic a bit here) was an utter shame and disgrace to our great country. A real president would never have stood for the reprehensible slamming on our country – this great country so many have sacrificed life and limb for – literally.

I will say one thing the “O” has done that is positive – he’s awakened the beast as in the patriots, the true-blue veterans and all the hard working Americans from all walks of life – and they’re going to take this country back. the big “O” may be on top of the world now, but is heading for one heck of a crash landing by the good, honest, decent citizen’s of America. The TEA Parties were only just the beginning.

As outright angry as some are, sometimes I fear we’re on the brink of a revolution of sorts – and it may be just what we need. and that we can thank the O’ster for.

Even if Hugo Chavez were a sworn enemy to America, what does your Bible teach you about loving your enemies and doing good to those who despitefully use you? Or is the holy scriptures, which you believe in not applicable in this sense? So if Hugo Chavez sticks out his hand for a hand shake Obama will do you proud by ignoring him? And you still think we can lay claim to being a nations guided by Christian principles?

And do you call that sham of a tea party revolutionary? Is that how a revolution starts? With propaganda led by Foxnews (no other network) and the disgruntled Hannity-like folks. You are way bigger than this deception. And why is it now that this revolution is firing up after just three months of Obama’s leadership considering that the downturn of the economy had started long before? Isn’t that what we call impetuosity?

And please, we always know what is the end of every beast. To the slaughter house it goes!

Won’t anybody think of the children?!?!” It’s too bad you talked so much, because the other people there had some interesting things to say.

Hannity is a pathological liar (or just stupid) tossing around half truths or total lies. He is the worst exmple of extracting pharses that suit his purpose, such as the chrsitianity bit, without mentioning the following two sentences or the “arroagant” bit, without ever quoting the folling sentences.

You were really competing with Hannity for the top spot. If you have any self respect whatsoever, you ought to be calling out Hannity, rather than slavishly embellishing his hateful speech.

With all due respect are you that ignorant of Christian truths? Christ taught that we (followers of Christ) are to love others with a holy love — to show people with our lives what Christ has done for us. That does not mean that we always have to be “inclusive” “agreeing” or being “non confrontational”; sometimes we show love by telling others they are wrong and point our finger back & say “No, you are wrong!” We should not begrudge people or belittle them; but to be passive is not always correct.

For Mr. Obama to sit and listen to non citizens of this country & on foreign soil squawk about our country does several negative things: 1) devalues what so many people in this country have paid limb & life for. 2) Weakens our credibility with people around the world who are neutral about this country. 3) Emboldens our enemies around the world — as the sound track is played and they see our leader sitting there & seemingly agreeing (as he objects to nothing that was said). 4) Does nothing to encourage change in world behavior (a little fear can be a great motivator for a change in behavior. No, I do not mean a military threat! 5) And it demoralizes millions who see this country as a force for good; these who sit in jails around the world for nothing more than opposing tyranny & wanting a democratic form of government. I can think of nothing good coming from such silence, rotten leaders will still be rotten, those living in prisons will still be there — without hope (ironically) & socialism & tyranny will advance when no one calls evil — evil.

If you were in one of these prisons & looking for hope; you may not see a leader speaking on your behalf — but I’ll bet ya five to one that they see will see, hear & know that the leader of the free world sat and listened (again seemingly agreeing — as silence speaks volumes) that democracy is not worth fighting for.

But Mr. Obama seems to have a natural ability not to call evil — evil as he sat 20 years in a church that preached hatred of Jews, Capitalism, America, American Culture and it seemingly true CHRISTianity as the (wrong) Rev. Right spoke on the glories of Islam. Yes, it is true — I have known of Rev. Wright & have heard him on many occasions for many a year now. Yes, I would have walked out of that church — any church that spoke such hatred of anyone or any race! Mr. Obama also could not figure out that a man who bombed buildings in this country was not a terrorist — yes, I know he was only 3 at the time — but as recently as Sept. 11, 2001 Bill Ayers said publicly: “I don’t think we did enough“(bombings)! On, that dates of all dates! I personally would not befriend anyone who did not make any public apologies’ at any time afterwards; at least ask for forgiveness after 9/11; I seem to know a terrorist by there actions — even 40 years after the fact. Now, any person who knows evil would say “that I cannot stand for — nor will I!” even if it meant ending friendships over. Again this statement of Ayers was made on 9/11/2001!!! “All that it takes for evil to triumph is for good people to do NOTHING!!!!” Mr. Obama has done that quite well.

When is this man, Mr. Obama who offers change, hope & even “salvation” (“our individual salvation depends on our collective salvation” (Mr. Obama Wesleyn University; 2008) going to call evil — evil? Because if he cannot or will not than there will be no change, no hope & no salvation for millions and even millions more will slip into tyranny sooner rather than later — including the citizens of the United States of America!

Mr. David, can you go back and re-read what you wrote and judge yourself on what you sound like. Your first paragraph sounds a lot like religious bigotry: using the scriptures to support a false sense of national worth. Who made the USA the conscience of the world? Or are we so numb that we can’t feel the log in our eyes but the speck in another’s eye? What finger are you pointing without realizing that three are pointing back at you? And you sit here trying to explain Christ’s message with an air of self righteousness!

What credibility does America have in the world? People have been laughing at us around the world for a long time my friend. We are asking nations to stop developing nuclear weapons, and yet we possess the highest stock of weapons and remain the only ones in the world to have deployed it. Don’t forget how many innocent citizens died because of this. What moral stance has the USA in this case? You think the world has forgotten? I am a student of International Relations and understand the implication of what Obama is doing. The world is tired of the USA shoving their values in their faces. I sit at the UN meetings sometimes and see the behaviour of US representatives, which is nothing to write home about. We seem to be blinded to the fact that nations rise and nations fall. And history tells us what makes nations fall: and overestimation of their capabilities. To be frank with you, Military power is fast becoming obsolete in asserting dominance, so the US shouldn’t think that killing three pirates is a sign of global power.

Whatever your take on Rev. Wright and Bill Ayers is, it has no validity, as you haven’t considered how much positive work Wright has done in Chicago. If he hated this country, all the investment in community services the church runs may not have been. And you sit here determining who can be patriotic or not based on their work? This is a man who served as a Marine. Now you call Obama a terrorist by proxy because he served on the same board with Ayers…this is just so laughable.

Mr. David, its very obvious that you are angry that Obama is president. Like I said I didn’t vote for him, but I cannot stand intolerant people like you. You shrink the world into a warped community of ideologues who are blinded by their petty grudges.

Reginald you are stuck in the past, I don’t know what it is with liberals and re-living the past. The Atom bomb ended WWII, without it my Father might not have made it home and I wouldn’t be here right now.

As long as the USA has it’s nukes, no one will dare mess with us. Other than the terrorists. I have a feeling if we threatened to nuke their desert, they would crawl under their rocks and hide again. Those nukes are our aces in the whole. National Security, protecting American no matter the cost.
