Sorry, but this is hardly new. Deborah Tannen said as much, quite politely with regard to both sexes in “You Just Don’t Understand.” So did Barbara Ehrenreich, believe it or not, years before that. (It’s in: “The Worst Years of Our Lives” – the title refers to the 1980s.)

It’s not new, I agree, probably existed with Adam and Eve, but I enjoyed Betsy’s take on it. When I see programs like “The View” and “Oprah” my eyes start rolling around in my head like a roller coaster. If women find these programs interesting, so be it, but I have the freedom to roll my eyes and tune out.
