Hi friends – here’s this week’s column. A provocative title? Sure. This column came to me when a fellow who is a friend of mine and I were talking, and he made the point that he felt chick flicks are often hurtful to relationships. I remembered having written about exactly that when the movie Titanic came out.

Then later my daughter mentioned the super skinny Ralph Lauren model. She thought that whole thing was ridiculous. It occurred to me our culture goes crazy over some presentations of women in the media. But probably not the ones of women, or men, which are the must destructive!

I decided to write it when I had yet another friend express surprise to me that in my church (Presbyterian, PCA) even young children worship with their parents throughout the entire 90 minute worship service. This is fairly uncommon in the evangelical world, and I think that’s a terrible loss.

Today’s Church Message is Too Often “Don’t suffer the little children in Worship!”
